OpenMetrics Template List

We provide default templates and predefined Templates so that users who are new to OpenMetrics can quickly collect and visualize metrics without complex configuration. This lets you easily apply commonly used open source metrics, lowers the initial adoption barrier, and helps operators build a scalable monitoring environment.

Template list​

Template List provides default open-source template cards.
Each card includes a brief description, a link to the template, and collection guidance.

Nginx Template​

Monitor Apache Nginx to track and analyze web server performance in real time.

Istio Template​

Visualize service relationships and traffic flow in an Istio service mesh, and provide an integrated monitoring environment by linking with WhaTap APM data. Use the button at the top right to zoom in or out of the Template.

  • Triangle: Kubernetes service
  • Circle: Workload
  • Rectangle: Application
  • Small circle: Pod
Node status​

Error ratio within all HTTP requests and responses (4xx, 5xx)

  • Green: error rate below 5%
  • Orange: error rate 5% or higher
  • Red: error rate 10% or higher
  • Gray: no requests
Pod node status​

Kubernetes Pod phase

  • Green: Pods in Running state
  • Orange: Pods in Pending state
  • Red: Pods in Failed state
Edge colors​

Error ratio of HTTP requests between two nodes (4xx, 5xx)

  • Green: error rate below 10%
  • Orange: error rate 10% or higher
  • Red: error rate 20% or higher
  • Blue: TCP communication
  • Gray: unknown status
